Bigg Boss 20 Grand Finale Date: December 20 Reported, But No Official Confirmation Yet

By BollyShowbiz Desk • October 27, 2026 • Bigg Boss 20 grand finale date (reported, not confirmed)

Bigg Boss 20 finally has a date doing the rounds for its big finish: Sunday, December 20. Reports say the grand finale is planned for that day, and fans have been passing the date around all day. But before you mark your calendar in ink, here is the honest version: nobody from Colors TV, JioHotstar, or the show's team has confirmed it yet. The date is reported, not announced. Here is what the reports say, why the date makes sense, and what still needs an official word.

What the reports actually say

Telly Express ran the story as an exclusive on October 27, saying the grand finale is reportedly scheduled for December 20. India Forums picked it up the same evening and added the key caution: the makers have not confirmed the date, and viewers will have to wait for an announcement from the channel or the production team.

It is not the first outlet to land on this date. Latestly had already reported on October 26 that Tellymasala was pointing to Sunday, December 20 as the tentative finale date, and bollywoodremind carried the same date that evening. All of them carry the same caution: no official statement yet from the broadcaster or the showrunners.

That agreement across outlets is why the date is worth reporting. But it is still second-hand. None of these reports quote the channel or the production team, so the date stays in the "reported" column until an official announcement moves it.

Why December 20 fits

The date did not come out of nowhere. Rohit Shetty, who hosted the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes on October 24 and 25 while Salman Khan was away, reportedly told the housemates they had crossed the halfway mark of their journey, with around eight weeks to go before a winner is announced.

Count it out from October 27 and eight weeks lands you right around December 20. A September 6 start and a December 20 finish would also make it a 15-week season. Sundays are the show's usual finale slot, and December 20, 2026 is a Sunday. None of this confirms the date, but it explains why fans and reporters are treating it as more than a random guess.

What is still not confirmed

The big one is the date itself. Colors TV and JioHotstar have not announced a finale date, and the show's makers have not confirmed December 20. Until they do, every post calling it "confirmed" is jumping ahead of the facts.

The prize money is also unannounced for this season. For comparison, last season's winner took home Rs 50 lakh, but that was season 19, and it says nothing about what season 20's winner will get.

Dates can also move. Finale plans shift when schedules, shoots, or channel plans change, so even a well-sourced reported date is not a promise. If you see the date shared as fact, check for an announcement from the channel first. If there is none, it is still just a report.

What happens between now and the finale

The housemates still have weeks of the usual grind ahead: nominations, tasks, and the captaincy race, which is already making news this week. Each round will cut the house down toward the finalists.

Finale week itself follows a familiar pattern: the finalists come together for one last stage, with celebrity appearances, performances, and a look back at the season's big moments before the winner is announced. That is how the show has always closed, and there is no reason to expect a different shape this time.

If you are following the race, the thing to watch is not just who survives each week, but who builds a fan base big enough to carry a finale vote. That is what decides the trophy in the end. More Bigg Boss 20 updates are on our Bigg Boss page.

How to watch

New episodes stream on JioHotstar at 9 pm and air on Colors TV at 10:30 pm. The Weekend Ka Vaar episodes run on Saturday and Sunday. When the finale date announcement comes, it will most likely drop on one of those weekend episodes or through the channel's own handles. That is where to check first.

The verdict

Circle December 20 in pencil, not ink. Four outlets pointing at the same Sunday, plus the eight-weeks remark from the Weekend Ka Vaar stage, make it the most believable date in circulation right now. But believable is not confirmed. Until Colors TV or JioHotstar says it, the honest line is: reported for December 20, official word still awaited.
