How Bigg Boss Voting Works: Nomination, Voting Window and Eviction Explained
Every week, Bigg Boss fans ask the same question — how does voting actually work, and when does it close? Here is the full process, in simple words.
Step 1: Nominations
After the weekly task, housemates nominate each other, or Bigg Boss nominates contestants directly for rule breaks or poor performance. The nominated contestants are announced on the episode.
Step 2: The voting window opens
Voting opens on the official streaming platform (JioHotstar for the Hindi season) right after the nomination episode and usually stays open for a fixed window before the weekend episode.
- Vote only on the official app/website — fan polls on social media do not decide eviction.
- One account can vote within the limit shown in the app.
- The contestant with the lowest votes is usually evicted on Weekend Ka Vaar.
Step 3: Eviction and voting trends
On the weekend episode, the host announces who is safe and who is evicted. Through the week, BollyShowbiz tracks the fan voting trend — which contestant is leading online polls and who is in the danger zone — and publishes a daily trend update after every episode.
The bottom line
Watch the nomination episode, vote inside the official window, and check our Bigg Boss page daily for the written update, voting trend and eviction prediction.
