Roadies Rebirth Season 21: Gang Leaders, the New OG vs NewG Format, Audition Cities and Where to Watch in India

New season, new rules, and a name that says it all — Rebirth. Old Roadies fans will feel at home, but the game has changed. Two teams of leaders now fight for the same boys and girls, money talks in every audition, and one secret button can steal a picked player for free. If you are starting the season late, this one page will bring you up to speed.

Quick facts first

What is new this season

Till last season, each leader fought alone with his or her own small gang. This time the six leaders are split into two teams of three. On one side are the OGs — the faces who have carried Roadies for years. On the other side are the NewGs — leaders from the world of online fame and newer reality shows. The two teams bid against each other in every audition, and the fight is as much between the leaders as it is among the boys and girls.

Rannvijay Singha is back as host, and that matters. He has been with Roadies from the start. When a talk gets too hot, or a boy needs a hard truth about his past, it is Rannvijay who says it in a way people accept.

One name is missing this time. Elvish Yadav, who won last season as a leader, is not in the leaders' line-up this season. In his place, the NewG side has Abhishek Malhan, better known as Fukra Insaan, who brings a huge online fan base with him.

How a player gets picked

Auditions were held in four cities — Delhi on September 5, Chandigarh on September 7, Kolkata on September 10 and Pune on September 12. Boys and girls first had to clear a group talk. Those who passed came in front of Rannvijay and the leaders for a one-to-one round.

After each round, the two gangs bid with Roadiums, the money of the show. Each gang has 1 lakh Roadiums in a shared bank, and each leader has 30,000 more of his or her own, to be used after the shared money ends. The higher bid wins the player, and one leader of the winning gang stamps the player's arm.

Two more things to keep in mind. First, only 16 players from each gang will go ahead after auditions, so some picked players will still go home. Second, the secret snatch button: if a winning bid crosses 15,000 Roadiums, a leader from the other side can press it, take the player for free, and let the winning gang pay. It has already been used in the first two episodes, once by each side.

The first days in short

The opening episode was held with the Chandigarh auditions, and Gang OG picked all four players who got in that day — arm-wrestler Sneha, dancer Shine, a simple boy named Preet, and Karishma Talwar, whose life story and aerial dance made the biggest mark of the day. Two boys, Hrietik and Allen Choudhary, were sent home after the leaders and Rannvijay questioned them about their thinking and their old social media posts.

On day two, NewG hit back. They snatched Salbani, a fitness trainer from Shillong, right out of OG's hands. And OG spent a huge 71,000 Roadiums on Ganesh, a strong player from Nepal who was runner-up on Himalaya Roadies. Seven players were picked on day two in all.

Good to know for Indian viewers

Set your time for 7:00 PM on MTV India. If your home watches TV late, or you are travelling, the same episode is on JioHotstar and Netflix, so you can watch it the same night on your phone. New episodes come on the show's regular weekend run — check our Roadies page after each telecast for the written update, the full picked and sent-home list, and the Roadiums each player was picked for.

If you want to try for the next season, start now, not when the dates come out. Every picked player this year had one clear skill — arm wrestling, dance, judo, fitness, stunts, even cooking. Pick one thing, get good at it, and keep your social media clean. This season has shown that old posts are checked and asked about.

Roadies time on TV: when does Roadies Rebirth air?

If you are searching for roadies time on tv, here is the simple answer: Roadies Rebirth airs every Friday and Saturday at 7 PM IST on MTV India, with the same episode streaming on JioHotstar. That roadies rebirth time has held since the season premiered on October 16, 2026, and it is the same slot for every episode so far. So if you are checking roadies timing before the weekend, set your reminder for 7 PM — that is the roadies time, Friday and Saturday, no change week to week. The roadies episode release time is the same on both days: the new episode drops on TV at 7 PM IST, and Episode 4, for example, aired on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 7 PM. If you miss the TV telecast, the episode is available to stream the same night.

My take

Rebirth is a good name for this season. The show has gone back to hard auditions and real checks, and added a money game that keeps even a plain audition fun to watch. OG has the bigger names and the bigger bids so far. NewG has spent less and played smarter. The season is long, and the gang that saves its Roadiums and its snatch for the right day may win it in the end.
