'I Am Not Following You, But': Why Qazi Touqeer's Fans Are Flooding Hrithik Roshan's Instagram Page

By BollyShowbiz Desk • October 25, 2026 • Bigg Boss 20, Qazi Touqeer, Hrithik Roshan

The Qazi Touqeer Hrithik Roshan Instagram story, in one line, is this: Qazi told the Bigg Boss 20 house that Hrithik Roshan is his childhood idol, danced to Hrithik's song on TV, and said he wants Hrithik to say "I love you" to him — and his fans have taken it on themselves to make sure Hrithik sees it. That part is real, and it is all over the show's promos and fan pages. What is not real, at least in anything we could check, is a reply from Hrithik — and nobody should be fooled by the fan-made "reply" video doing the rounds.

Where this all started: the 21-years celebration

Qazi won his first reality show 21 years ago, and Bigg Boss marked the date inside the house with a concert. As TellyExpress and JustShowBiz both report it, Qazi told the housemates he won Fame Gurukul on that day 21 years back, and he dedicated his success to Hrithik Roshan, the star he calls his childhood idol. Then he did what Qazi does — he turned it into a performance. He danced to "Ek Pal Ka Jeena", the song from Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai that made Hrithik's hook step famous, and he sang "Koi Mil Gaya" too.

The promo the makers put out shows the same thing. TellyChakkar's report on the episode says Qazi danced during the captaincy task, which had a musical-chairs twist, and recreated the "Ek Pal Ka Jeena" hook step with full energy. While he danced, he said it out loud: "I love you, Hrithik, and this is for you!" Amrapali, watching him, called him a "Rockstar Baby" — a line that has stuck to the clip as it spread. ANI's report on the promo says the same: Qazi showed his admiration for Hrithik through the dance, and the audience's love for him is growing by the day.

None of this is a small side note in Qazi's season. He came into Bigg Boss 20 as the Fame Gurukul winner from 2005, vanished from the mainstream for years, and came back into public memory with "Afghan Jalebi" in 2012. The Glitz, writing about his run this season, notes that he had around 167,000 Instagram followers before he entered the house, and that number has been racing towards a million since. A fan base that big does not just watch a tribute like this. It picks it up and runs with it.

Qazi Touqeer, Hrithik Roshan and Instagram: what fans are actually doing

Here is where the headline comes from, and where we have to be straight with you. Fans are not sitting quietly and hoping Hrithik stumbles on the clip. A fan-made short doing the rounds is titled, plainly, "Request to Qazi Touqeer fans to pass the message to his favorite Hrithik Roshan", and its message is just as plain: forward this as much as you can, so that somehow it lands with Hrithik Roshan sir, and "make our hero wish come true". That is the campaign in one sentence. Qazi's wish, as the spoiler reports put it, is to hear Hrithik say "I love you" back to him — and his fans have decided they will be the delivery service.

That is why Hrithik's Instagram page is in the middle of this story. When a fan army wants a star to notice something, the star's own page is where they go — with comments, tags, shares and reposts of the promo. The Desi Buzz, reporting on the promo, says it has fuelled a lot of online talk, with viewers sharing clips and reaction videos and going back to Hrithik's old dance numbers to compare the steps. The buzz is real. The clips are everywhere. Reaction videos are part of it too.

But here is the line we will not cross. We looked for the exact comment line in the headline — "I am not following you, but" — in news reports about this fan push, and we could not find it quoted in any of them. That does not mean no fan ever typed those words. It means no outlet we checked has published them as a verified comment from Hrithik's page, and we are not going to dress up a headline phrase as a confirmed quote. The same goes for numbers: no source we checked gives a count of how many comments landed on Hrithik's page, so we are not giving you one either. What is confirmed is the push itself — fans openly asking others to forward Qazi's message until it reaches Hrithik.

The "reply" video you should not fall for

There is a second video going around that you need to know about, because it looks like the happy ending to this story and it is not. It is titled along the lines of "Hrithik Roshan finally replied to Qazi — I love you too". Read its own description before you believe it: it says, in so many words, that the video may be an edited or AI-made fan video, that the authenticity of Hrithik's alleged "I love you too" reply has not been verified, and that no claim is being made that the interaction actually happened. The people who posted it said the honest part themselves. Treat it as fan fun, not news.

As of now, no news report we checked — not TellyChakkar, not ANI, not the spoiler sites — says Hrithik has responded to Qazi, to the tribute, or to the fan campaign. He has not posted about it, commented on it, or, as far as any outlet has reported, noticed it in public. That could change. Stars do notice these things, sometimes days later. But right now, the story is one-sided: Qazi said it, fans are pushing it, and Hrithik has said nothing about it in public.

This is not the first time fans have linked Qazi and Hrithik

The Hrithik link did not start with this promo. Back in late September, Filmibeat reported that an old song video from one of Qazi's unreleased films had gone viral, and fans could not stop talking about how much he looked like Hrithik in it. "He was giving Hrithik vibes," one fan wrote, and another said, "No way, he looks like Hrithik." One viewer even said he may have tried too hard to copy Hrithik. Zoom TV reported the same clip and the same reaction — viewers noting a striking similarity between Qazi and Hrithik. So when Qazi stood up in the Bigg Boss house and called Hrithik his childhood idol, it landed on ground his fans had already prepared. They had been making the connection for weeks.

There is also the Arijit Singh thread, which is worth one line because it shows how deep Qazi's old reality-show roots run. Arijit, who was in the same Fame Gurukul season as Qazi, posted before the season started that he would watch Bigg Boss for the first time in his life because "apna rockstar Qazi hai udhar" — his rockstar Qazi is in there. That is a different star, a different shout-out, and it has nothing to do with Hrithik — but it shows the same pattern: people from Qazi's past stepping forward for him, and fans carrying those moments further than they would travel on their own.

Where to watch, and what happens next

Bigg Boss 20 airs on Colors TV in India and streams on JioHotstar, where the promos and episodes land first. If Hrithik does respond — a comment, a story, a post, anything — it will almost certainly show up on his own Instagram first, and the fan pages will pick it up within minutes. Until then, the only honest update is the one we have: the tribute happened, the fans are pushing it, and the reply has not.

One more thing worth saying plainly. Qazi is inside the Bigg Boss house, cut off from his phone and his fans. He cannot see this campaign, and he cannot know whether it worked. Everything his fans are doing on Hrithik's page is being done on his behalf, without him. That is either sweet or a bit much, depending on how you look at fan culture — but it is the reason this story has legs. It is not about a feud or a scandal. It is about a 21-year-old wish, said out loud on TV, and an army of fans trying to hand-deliver it to the one person who can answer it.

My take

I like this story for what it actually is, not for what the viral videos pretend it is. A singer who won a reality show 21 years ago, lost the spotlight, and walked back into India's biggest reality house decided to spend his celebration telling the world who his idol is — and his fans took that as their job, not just his moment. That is a good, warm, very Indian fan story. It does not need a fake reply to be worth telling. If Hrithik does answer one day, it will be a lovely full circle. Until he does, the honest headline is the one we have written: the fans are trying, the wish is out there, and the reply is still waiting.
