Scout Bigg Boss: Who Is Tanmay Singh aka ScoutOP, and How Is His Bigg Boss 20 Game Going?

By BollyShowbiz Desk • October 25, 2026 • Bigg Boss 20, ScoutOP, Tanmay Singh

If you searched "scout bigg boss" — or even typed "big boss" by mistake, the way plenty of fans do — and landed here, you are looking for one man: Tanmay Singh, better known as ScoutOP, the gamer who walked into Bigg Boss 20 as India's first esports player on the show and has barely left the centre of the action since. In seven weeks he has gone from a premiere-night chat about his monthly earnings to house captain, then to the middle of a ration cut, a task fight, and a Weekend Ka Vaar grilling. This is his story so far, in one place, with only what has actually been reported — and a clear note wherever reports do not agree.

Who is ScoutOP before Bigg Boss?

Before the Bigg Boss house, ScoutOP was already a big name in a world most TV viewers had never watched closely: Indian mobile esports. He started his esports journey in 2018, rose through PUBG Mobile, and then became a big name in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) after PUBG Mobile's run in India changed. Along the way he played for well-known organisations — TeamIND, Team SouL, Fnatic and Orange Rock — and in recent times he has been linked with Team XSpark, while also building a streaming career on the side.

That streaming career is not small. Reports put his Instagram following at around 4.4 million in one account and 5 million in another, and his YouTube audience at more than 5 million subscribers. When he entered Bigg Boss, messages poured in from other digital creators, including Elvish Yadav, Abhishek Malhan and CarryMinati, who wished him luck. In other words, he did not walk into the house as an unknown face. He walked in with a ready-made army of fans who already knew his gaming name, even if the TV audience was meeting him for the first time.

The premiere moment: "how much do you earn?"

Scout grabbed the spotlight on the grand premiere itself, on September 6, 2026, in his first chat with host Salman Khan. Salman asked him how much he earns from gaming, and Scout's answer left the host surprised. Here we have to be honest about the numbers, because the reports do not match: one report of the premiere puts the figure at around Rs 20 lakh a month, while another puts it at around Rs 30 lakh a month, and a later bio piece says "30 lakh+ rupees". We are not going to pick one and pretend the other does not exist. Either way, the point that landed on premiere night was the same — gaming, for Scout, is not a hobby. It pays like a full career.

His net worth gets the same treatment in reports — one bio piece puts it at Rs 15 to 20 crore — and we are passing that on only as a reported figure, not a confirmed one. Nobody outside his own accounts can verify a number like that, and no report we checked shows its working.

Scout bigg boss: the captaincy win in Episode 40

The biggest win of Scout's season so far came in Episode 40, when he became the new captain of the Bigg Boss 20 house. It did not come from a normal task. Bigg Boss called the former captains into the 2X room one by one, and each had to name two housemates they did not want as captain. Whoever survived the eliminations would take the crown.

Between them, Aasif Khan, Uditi Singh, Gullu and Yung DSA knocked out eight names: Love Gill, Aman Gandhi, Mary Kom, Kanika Mann, Amrapali Dubey, Arishfa Khan, Mahhi Vij and Qazi Touqeer. Manish Goel was out of the race anyway because he had nomination immunity that week. When the eliminations ended, Scout was the one left standing. One report put it nicely: it played like a BGMI final circle, with everyone else cleared out one by one. For a gamer, that is a fitting way to win a captaincy.

The win meant more because of the week Scout had just had. Qazi Touqeer had joked about spitting in Scout's ear, Nakul Dhull overheard it and told Scout, and Scout confronted Qazi, who said it was only a joke. That row set off a physical fight between Nakul and Gullu, and Qazi also nominated Scout that week. Scout was at the centre of the chaos before he became captain — and captaincy did not calm things down.

The captain's week that went wrong: Episode 46

Episode 46 was a tough one for Scout, and it is the episode that changed how a lot of viewers talk about him. It started with a decision he later regretted. Bigg Boss asked Scout, as captain, to name the housemates he felt were most and least deserving of the next captaincy. He named himself, Yung DSA and Aasif Khan as most deserving, and Uditi Singh, Arishfa Khan and Qazi Touqeer as least deserving.

The choice became a talking point at once. Other housemates teased him for leaving out Love Gill, even though he often calls her his sister, and he had also left out Amrapali Dubey and Kanika Mann. The more he thought about it, the worse he felt, and his mood turned. Seeing him down, Yung called him into the washroom attached to the bedroom to talk. After Yung came out, Aasif went inside. Bigg Boss then asked Scout directly whether a rule had been broken, and Scout did not try to hide it: he admitted two people had been inside the washroom at the same time, which is against the rules. Bigg Boss cut the house's ration by 50% at once, which meant everyone, not just Scout, had to pay for it. Yung said sorry to the housemates, Uditi said she had pointed out right away that rules were being broken, and the whole thing grew into a bigger fight about rules and responsibility. One report of the same episode describes Scout and Yung smoking inside the washroom, which is what made the rule break worse in the house's eyes.

The Arishfa task fight, and where both sides stand

The same day's task made things worse. Qazi and Aasif had to stand on a disc and move through a tunnel, while other housemates could help or block them. During the task, Scout pulled Arishfa Khan out by her legs. That led to an immediate confrontation, with Qazi stepping in to question how Scout could touch a female contestant that way. Arishfa said she felt uncomfortable when Scout touched her leg and tried to drag her, and that smiling does not mean she was comfortable — her reaction should not be taken as permission to treat her in a way she did not like. Scout's side, as reported, was that Arishfa had been smiling, so he thought it was fine, and that the contestants were only joking during the task.

The argument turned personal fast, with Qazi and Scout exchanging aggressive remarks, and it spilled outside the house too. Television actress Kamya Punjabi backed Arishfa and Qazi on social media, calling Scout's behaviour on national television "absolutely disgusting" and saying that expecting a young girl to react first to validate someone else's misconduct is hypocrisy. When her X account was suspended after she criticised Scout heavily, Scout's fans celebrated the suspension online, and Kamya hit back on Instagram, saying accounts come back but asking his fans how they plan to win by getting accounts suspended. We are reporting both reactions as they happened, not taking a side between them — the task moment itself is still argued about by viewers, with some saying Scout's language and actions crossed a line and others saying Arishfa crossed a line too in the earlier captaincy-task clash between them.

As captain, Scout also used his power in the nominations that week: Bigg Boss asked him to nominate one contestant directly, and he nominated Uditi Singh. The week 7 nomination list that followed, in the episode streamed on October 21, named Arishfa Khan, Uditi Singh, Manish Goel, Amrapali Dubey, Love Gill, Gullu and Mary Kom. Scout himself was not on that list.

Kaashvi, marriage, and the past he talked about

Away from tasks and fights, Scout has also opened up inside the house about his personal life, and this is the part his gaming fans follow most closely. In a conversation in the changing area, he spoke about a relationship he had before his current one, with a girl who lived outside India. He used to travel to meet her, but the relationship ended on a very bad note. After that chapter ended, he said, he met the person he is with now and gradually developed strong feelings for her.

The woman Scout has been linked to is gaming creator Kaashvi Hiranandani, known online as KaashPlays. Reports and viewers widely link his long-term relationship of around five years to Kaashvi, who has built her own name in India's gaming and streaming community, and the two have been seen together publicly over the years. When Amrapali Dubey asked Scout whether he ever feels like getting married, he admitted he does think about it and is ready for that step — but, he explained, his girlfriend is currently focused on building her own identity and career, and wants to become financially independent first. That detail matters to fans because it explains why there is no wedding talk yet, even after five years together.

Where Scout stands now, and the Rohit Shetty weekend in one line

Scout's captaincy did not last into this week. In Episode 48, a new captaincy task — cards on a table, a throne, and the non-contenders picking who decides — ended with Mahhi Vij removing Scout from the race, and Qazi Touqeer making the final call that made Mahhi Vij the new captain. So as of now, Scout is a former captain, still in the house, and still one of its most talked-about players.

One more thing, kept short on purpose: on the October 24 Weekend Ka Vaar (Episode 49), guest host Rohit Shetty questioned Scout and Love Gill about their closeness in the house. That full exchange is already covered in detail in our live article on that episode, so we are not repeating it here — this piece is about Scout's whole journey, not that one segment.

Where to watch Bigg Boss 20

Bigg Boss 20 airs on Colors TV in India and streams on JioHotstar, where episodes and promos land first. New episodes drop in the evening, and the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, hosted by Salman Khan with guest hosts like Rohit Shetty stepping in, are where nominations and evictions get settled. If Scout's game changes again this week — a new fight, a new captaincy run, or a nomination — it will show up there first.

My take

Scout's season is a good test of what Bigg Boss does to an outsider. He came in as a star from a different world, with millions of followers who already loved him, and the house has not treated him like a star at all. It gave him a captaincy, then a ration cut in the same week. It gave him a fan army outside and a set of fights inside. His game is not clean, and it is not boring either — and that is exactly why his name keeps trending. Whether he goes deep depends on the one thing gaming never taught him: in Bigg Boss, the final circle is not won by the last one standing in a task. It is won by the one the audience still wants to watch after seven weeks of fights. Right now, for better or worse, people are still watching Scout.
